Kansas City: An App Hotspot?

I came across this article today. It is almost a year old, but interesting nonetheless. A company called AppsGeyser was able to track the birthplace of 10,000 apps that were created using AppsGeyser software. Not surprisingly cities like New York, San Francisco and London were on the list as some of the most active places for app development. But our very own KC also made the list. A map on the page shows app hotspots around the Globe and lists Kansas City in the group of metros with at least 100 apps developed.

This is a good example of an industry that might be growing beneath the radar. App development is such a cutting-edge field, there really is not a category of data that we can monitor to see how it is growing. We need to know more.
