KC Metro Unemployment Rate Monthly Comparison

Following a dramatic drop in the unemployment rate in April, May saw an equally dramatic increase. Unemployment rates were up across the board. Kansas City's unemployment rate went from 4.6% in April to 5.5% in May. This marks the highest point the local unemployment rate has been since November, 2005.
